Barrow Shipyard Cranes and BDAE AGM

Our previously advertised speaker for this week, Professor George Aggidis, is unfortunately no longer able to deliver his lecture at the current time. While this is of course disapointing, we are very pleased to be able to announce that Martin Bates, both of BAE Systems and more recently a BDAE Council member, has heroically agreed to step into the breach at very short notice to deliver a lecture on the workhorses of shipyards past and present; the iconic shipyard cranes. We are sure this will be a fascinating lecture and hope you will join us at the usual time and venue, 7:30pm at the Studio Room at the Forum in Barrow.
