Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Engineering. We are specifically non professional institution which means that we can extend our membership to the wider public. Membership fees are £10 per annum.
Engineering Scholarship
Updated in 2022 to multiple awards of £1000
The scholarship is open to students entering a FULL TIME STEM higher education course, leading to the opportunity of professional engineering status.
Young Enginneers’ Awards
In order to try to raise the awareness of Engineering as a career amongst young people in Furness, the Barrow and District Association of Engineers runs an annual bursary known as “The Young Engineers’ Awards”.
