Darren joins us to provide an inspirational talk about his career in engineering. Having joined Oxley in 1994 after completing a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship at VSEL (now BAE Systems), he holds a First Class Hons Degree in Mechanical and Computer Aided Engineering. Darren was appointed as Oxley Technical Director in May 2009, his particular areas of expertise include LED Lighting for aerospace applications and night vision upgrades. Darren was then appointed Head of the Lighting & Systems division in 2017 and took up the post of Oxley Group CEO in 2018. 1n 2019 Darren was named by The Manufacturer as one of the industry’s ‘Top 100’ in the category of Inspiring Leader.
